The Igboora Progress Union (IPU) has felicitated all Igboora indigenes at home and in the diaspora, and particularly the Igboora Muslim Community, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Adha celebration.

In a statement dated 27th May 2026, signed by the IPU media officer Tayo Akinyemi, IPU President Pastor Alex Oladeji, JP, on behalf of the Union and the Interim Steering Council, congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha and commended their faith, obedience, and spirit of sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

According to the IPU President:

“Eid-el-Adha reminds us of the values of sacrifice, submission to Allah, unity, and compassion for one another,” Pastor Oladeji said. “I urge us all to continue to uphold these virtues beyond the celebration as we work together for the peace, progress, and development of Igboora land.”

He noted that the IPU remains committed to fostering unity among all sons and daughters of Igboora, irrespective of faith or background. He called on the community to use the occasion to strengthen bonds, support one another, and pray for the continued growth and prosperity of the town, the state, and the nation.

The Union concluded by wishing all Muslims Eid Mubarak.
