FISU NATIONAL BODY CELEBRATES APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR OLAMAKINDE OLAPEGBA AS 14TH VICE-CHANCELLOR OF UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN

The Federation of Igboora Students’ Union (FISU), National Body, has congratulated Professor Olamakinde Olapegba on his appointment as the 14th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, describing the development as a landmark achievement and a proud moment for the academic community.

In a congratulatory message signed by the National President of FISU, Aare Akadri Quyyum Adewale, the union applauded Professor Olapegba’s emergence as a reflection of his outstanding academic accomplishments, exemplary leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of higher education in Nigeria.

According to the statement, Professor Olapegba’s appointment is not only a significant milestone for the University of Ibadan—Nigeria’s premier university—but also a source of inspiration to students, academics, and young scholars across the country.
