The wife of PDP House of Assembly hopeful for Ibarapa Central/North, Hajia Ikram Mustapha Odunayo Onikeke, has visited the palace of the Asigangan of Igangan to seek royal prayers and support for her husband’s 2027 ambition.

Hajia Ikram, who is the daughter of renowned Islamic cleric Sheikh Yaqub Mustapha Onikeke, presented a copy of the Holy Qur’an to the monarch during the courtesy visit.

She described her husband, Hon. Soliu Adelodun Lawal popularly known as ‘Bashorun’, as a devoted son of Igangan with a strong passion for the growth of Ibarapa land.

According to her, Bashorun remains deeply connected to his roots despite residing in Abuja, and visits Ibarapa regularly to engage constituents and push development proposals. She noted that some of the proposals submitted to government agencies are already yielding results.

She further stated that her husband has prepared a blueprint for Igangan and Ibarapa and is seeking divine guidance to serve with sincerity.

Hajia Ikram urged residents of Ibarapa Central and North to support Bashorun’s candidacy, stressing that he is offering himself for purposeful representation despite never having held elective office.

“He is contesting against politicians who have spent 8 to 16 years in office. By God’s grace and with the prayers and support of our people, victory is possible,” she said.

The visit was part of efforts to secure spiritual guidance, royal blessings, and community backing ahead of the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election.
