DOUBLE CELEBRATION IN IPU: UNION CELEBRATES TWO VICE PRESIDENTS – REV. SANYA AKINLADE AND ALHAJI MOSHOOD SALAMI (FCA) ON THEIR BIRTHDAYS

The Igbo-Ora Progressive Union (IPU) is in joyous mood today as it celebrates two of its strong executive members who are marking their birthdays today, 27th September, 2026.

They are Reverend Sanya Akinlade, the Vice President I of the Union and Alhaji Moshood Salami (FCA), Vice President II & Treasurer of the Union.

In a double congratulatory message signed by its Media Officer, Tayo Akinyemi, the IPU described the duo as pillars and great assets to Igbo-Ora land.

ON REV. SANYA AKINLADE

Celebrating Rev. Akinlade, the Union described him as an erudite educationist, a man of God and a pillar of IPU.

According to the statement, Rev. Akinlade is a retired School Principal who spent his active years moulding destinies in the classroom, with discipline, integrity and fatherly guidance that produced generations of leaders.

“Since joining the leadership of IPU, you have brought that same school-master discipline, calmness and Christian virtue into the administration of our Union. You are a loyal deputy, a wise counselor and a stabilizing force in our National Interim Steering Council,” the statement added.

The IPU prayed for renewed strength, sound health and abundant joy for him.

ON ALHAJI MOSHOOD SALAMI (FCA)

In the same vein, the Union hailed Alhaji Moshood Salami (FCA), a retired Chartered Accountant and senior citizen, as a great asset and philanthropist whose generosity has tremendously impacted the community.

The Union noted with pride his tremendous donations to community development, part of which is the renovation of the Igbo-Ora General Hospital and other silent interventions for the needy, students and religious bodies.

“As Treasurer of IPU, you have entrenched transparency, prudence and accountability. You combine professionalism with patriotism, and for that, IPU will forever be grateful,” the IPU stated.

It prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant him long life in sound health, more prosperity and more strength to continue his good works.

The goodwill messages were issued on behalf of the President of the Union, Pastor Alex Oladeji (JP), the National Interim Steering Council, Board of Trustees, Elders Council and the entire membership of IPU home and abroad.
