Olu of Igboora Installed new Odofin.

The Olu of Igboora, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Titiloye has on Friday, 18th July 2025 installed Chief Oladapo Jamiu as the new Odofin of Igboora.

The traditional installation which took place at the Olu of Igboora Palace had in attendance the Executive Chairman Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Sola Adeleke, the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adegbola and traditional rulers across Ibarapa land.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Sola Adeleke commended the Olu of Igboora for upholding the rich customs and traditions that strengthen the bond of unity and progress in the community. He described Hon. Oladapo Jamiu’s installation as a well-earned honour, recognising his dedication, service and deep commitment to the growth and harmony of Igboora Land.

Hon. Adeleke used the occasion to urge all sons and daughters of Igboora to continue to support the traditional institution and community leaders in building a peaceful, united and progressive Igboora Land for generations to come.

He wished Chief Oladapo Jamiu, who doubles as the Supervisor for Works, Ibarapa Central Local Government many fruitful years of service in his new traditional capacity and prayed that his reign as Odofin will bring greater blessings and lasting development to the land and its people.

Addressing the gathering, the Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye describe the installation of the new Odofin as a history making moment for
Igbo-Ora Land.

According to Oba Titiloye:

“We joyfully celebrate the successful Iwuye and Installation Ceremony of Hon. (Chief) Oladapo Jamiu as the Odofin of Igbo-Ora Land.

“We give all glory to Almighty God for making this great day a reality.

“Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all our revered Royal Fathers, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, our distinguished Guests of Honour, and every proud son and daughter of Igbo-Ora who contributed in one way or the other to the success of this memorable occasion”, he concluded.

In a separate address at the installation ceremony, His Royal Majesty Oba Samuel Adegbola, the Eleruwa of Eruwa offered heartfelt prayers and words of encouragement to the new Odofin eulogising the significance of the chieftaincy. Oba Adegbola urged the new Odofin to remain steadfast in serving the community with honor and dedication.

The Elero of Ilero, Oba Wasiu Saka offered royal blessings and counseled the new Odofin of Igboora.

Traditional rulers at the occasion include the Onilala of Lanlate, Onidere of Idere, Ashigangan of Igangan, Elero of Ilero, Oluaso of Iberekodo, Babaaso of Igbole and Onisagaun of Saganun.
