GTMIKE Donates ₦300,000, Gifts to ZLP Ibarapa Central Excos, Reaffirms Commitment to Ibarapa Development

Gabriel Timileyin Micheal, popularly known as GTMIKE, the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate for the House of Representatives representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, has donated ₦300,000 alongside valuable campaign gifts to the ZLP Ibarapa Central Executive Committee as part of efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The donation was made on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, during a meeting with party executives and other stakeholders in Ibarapa Central, where GTMIKE was warmly received alongside his political leaders.

Addressing party faithful at the meeting, GTMIKE reiterated his commitment to the development of Ibarapa, emphasising that his aspiration to represent the constituency at the National Assembly was driven by his understanding of the challenges confronting the people and his longstanding contributions to the region.

He identified good road networks, quality education, and reliable electricity supply as critical areas requiring urgent attention, stressing that the people of Ibarapa deserved effective representation and purposeful leadership.

Reflecting on his tenure as President of the Federation of Ibarapa Students’ Association (FIBSA), GTMIKE recalled his efforts to address electricity challenges affecting the region.

He specifically referenced his intervention in 2022, when he gave the Oyo State Government a seven-day ultimatum over electricity concerns, describing the action as part of his commitment to speaking up for the interests of the people.

According to him, his record of advocacy and service demonstrates that he has consistently worked towards the development of Ibarapa, even when operating with limited resources.

GTMIKE further recalled the support he received during his election as FIBSA President, noting that he secured votes from six of the seven towns that make up the association.

He said the widespread support he enjoyed during that election reflected the recognition of his contributions and leadership across the region.

The ZLP candidate maintained that his track record should give the people confidence in his aspiration to represent them, assuring them that he would not betray the trust placed in him.

He emphasised that he had continued to contribute to the development of Ibarapa with the little resources available to him and expressed confidence that he would achieve more if given the opportunity to serve at the federal level.

GTMIKE called on party members and residents to assess political candidates based on their records, commitment to the people, and demonstrated capacity to deliver meaningful development.

In a related development, GTMIKE urged party members and supporters to extend their support to Hon. Oluwasegun Theophilus Oladimeji, whom he endorsed for the Oyo South Senatorial District seat.

He stressed the importance of unity, cooperation, and collective political engagement in advancing the interests of Ibarapa and the wider Oyo South Senatorial District.

He also encouraged party faithful to remain committed to the party’s objectives and work together towards achieving their political aspirations.

The meeting attracted several party leaders and stakeholders from across Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North, and the wider Ibarapa zone.

Those in attendance included all ZLP councillorship candidates in Ibarapa Central, members of the party’s executive committees, and the Ibarapa North ZLP Chairman, Mr. Gbemileke, alongside the Ibarapa Central ZLP Chairman, Mr. Morawo.

Also present were the Ibarapa Central Youth Coordinator, Mr. Ojo; the Ibarapa North Youth Coordinator, Mr. Alabi; and the Ibarapa Zonal Coordinators, Mr. Amolegbe and Mr. Deputy, among other party leaders and stakeholders.
