COUNCIL OF INDIGENOUS PRESIDENTS FLAGS OFF 2ND EDITION OF LATE ALH. ATILOLA ADEDIGBA INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE IN IBARAPA

The Council of Indigenous Presidents in Ibarapa, in collaboration with the family of Late Alhaji Atilola Adedigba, has announced the commencement of the preliminary stage of the 2nd Edition of the Late Alhaji Atilola Adedigba Inter-Secondary School Debate Competition.

According to the council, the competition is designed to provide secondary school students across Ibarapa with a platform to showcase their intellectual capacity, public speaking skills, reasoning ability, and understanding of contemporary issues.

The late Alhaji Atilola Adedigba was a renowned advocate of education and community development. Organizers say the debate competition is part of efforts to preserve his legacy while promoting academic excellence, confidence, leadership, and constructive engagement among young scholars.

The Council urged all participating schools to prepare adequately and ensure punctual attendance at their designated centres. Teachers, parents, education stakeholders, and members of the public have also been encouraged to attend and support the students.

“Together, we continue to raise a generation of informed thinkers, confident speakers, and responsible leaders through the transformative power of education and debate,” the statement said.
