Gabriel Timileyin Micheal, popularly known as GTMIKE and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate for the Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, has fulfilled his promise to support Hon. Olanrele Tunmininu Dasola’s educational journey by paying her ₦50,000 acceptance fee at the University of Ibadan (UI).

The gesture follows GTMIKE’s pledge during a special engagement held at Brybos Hotel on Sunday, 18 October 2026, where he promised to support Hon. Tunmininu following her admission to the prestigious institution.

At the event, GTMIKE pledged to cover her acceptance fee, tuition fees and feeding expenses throughout her first year on campus, demonstrating his willingness to contribute to her academic advancement.

The payment of the acceptance fee marks the fulfilment of the first part of his commitment and represents a practical step towards helping Hon. Tunmininu begin her university education.

Hon. Tunmininu, a former one-day chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, recently secured admission to study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ibadan, opening a new chapter in her academic journey.

GTMIKE’s intervention highlights the importance of supporting students at critical stages of their educational pursuits, particularly when financial obligations may pose challenges to their progress.

By following through on his acceptance-fee pledge, GTMIKE has demonstrated a commitment to turning his stated intention into action, offering encouragement to Hon. Tunmininu as she prepares to pursue her academic goals.

As confirmation of his commitment, GTMIKE shared the receipt for the ₦50,000 acceptance-fee payment with Asako Reporters, providing documentary evidence of the transaction.

The development also underscores the role of individuals and community leaders in promoting access to higher education through financial assistance, mentorship and other forms of support.

As Hon. Tunmininu prepares to begin her studies at the University of Ibadan, attention will remain on the fulfilment of the additional educational and welfare commitments announced by GTMIKE.
