SOLA ADELEKE COMMISSIONS RENOVATED TOWN HALL, FRSC OFFICE AND RIVER BRIDGE

A major history was made in Ibarapa Central Local Government area of Oyo State on Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 as the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke commissioned three significant projects across the local government. The projects include the renovated Igboora Town Hall, a monumental structure constructed through communal efforts in 1954.

Another major structure commissioned is the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Unit Command Office. The old NIPOST building was completely reconstructed for this project.

The third commissioned project is the abandoned Àyín River Bridge at Isale Oba, a long-standing structure reported to have collapsed after over 20 years of service has also been rebuilt by the Sola Adeleke lead Administration.

In his remarks at the commissioning, Hon. Sola Adeleke said:

“These milestones are not just physical projects, they represent our collective commitment to progress, inclusiveness and sustainable development.

“Today marks a significant chapter in the story of our dear local government as we officially commissioned three transformational projects that speak to the heart of community development and good governance:

“The Igboora Town Hall, originally erected in 1953/1954 has been fully remodeled preserving our legacy while providing a renewed space for civic engagement and unity.

“The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Unit Command Office, formerly the old NIPOST building has been completely reconstructed to enhance road safety coordination and federal presence in our locality.

“The Àyín River Bridge at Isale Oba, a long-standing structure that collapsed after over 20 years of service has now been rebuilt, restoring vital access for our people and strengthening community connectivity.

“These milestones are not just physical projects, they represent our collective commitment to progress, inclusiveness and sustainable development.

“My sincere appreciation goes to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde and the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for entrusting us with this mandate and for the unflinching support that makes days like this possible.

“Together, we will continue to raise the bar in service delivery and grassroots impact,” he concluded.

The Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye who spoke on behalf of Igboora traditional rulers described the projects as dream come true. Oba Titiloye was full of praise to God and the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Eng. Seyi Makinde whose leadership support enables the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Sola Adeleke actualise the completion of the projects within a year of his administration.

Personalities at the commissioning include the Executive Governor of Oyo State, who was represented by the Oyo State Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North federal constituency, Hon. Dr. Bayo Adepoju, Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Hon. Ademola Ojo and party faithfuls of the PDP.

Traditional rulers at the occasion include the Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye, Onidere of Idere, Oba Kingsley Aderoju Oyelami, Oluaso of Iberekodo,Oba Jamiu Badmos, Babaaso of Iberekodo-Igbole,Oba Joshua Olusanjo, Onisaganun of Saganun and the Onidofin of Idofin.
