HISTORIC DAY FOR AYETE: CHIEF OPEYEMI TIJANI EXTOLS ALHAJI SALAU FATAI ADESINA ON INSTALLATION AS JAGUN OF AYETE LAND

A distinguished Ibarapa-born stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and House of Representatives aspirant for Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, Aare Baamofin of Igangan, Chief Opeyemi Tijani, Esq., popularly known as BOT, has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji (Hon.) Chief Salau Fatai Adesina on his historic installation as the Jagun of Ayeteland.

The prestigious chieftaincy title was conferred on the former Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government and former Oyo State Commissioner, Alhaji Salau Fatai Adesina by His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Ewuola Okeniyi, Borishabumi Arẹmu I, the Asawo of Ayeteland, in a colorful and historic ceremony that drew dignitaries and well-wishers from across the state.

In a statement overflowing with pride and admiration, Chief Opeyemi Tijani described the installation as a well-deserved honor for a man whose lifetime of service to Ayeteland, Ibarapaland and Oyo State has left an indelible mark on the sands of history.

“Today is a historic day for Ayeteland and the entire Ibarapa zone. Alhaji (Hon.) Chief Salau Fatai Adesina is not just a former chairman or former commissioner; he is a leader, a scholar, a mentor, and a pillar of our progressive movement,” Chief Tijani declared. “His installation as the Jagun of Ayeteland is a fitting crown on a career defined by integrity, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the development of our people.”

Chief Tijani highlighted chief Salau’s exemplary track record of public service, noting that his tenure as Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government and as a Commissioner in Oyo State remains a reference point for effective and people-centered governance.

“The title ‘Jagun’—which means warrior—could not have been bestowed on a more deserving individual. Chief Salau Fatai Adesina has fought countless battles for the progress of our land, not with weapons, but with wisdom, strategic thinking, and a heart full of compassion for the less privileged. His legacy of service speaks volumes, and this installation is a public acknowledgment of his contributions by the royal throne.”

The House of Representatives aspirant, Barr. Tijani also expressed profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Ewuola Okeniyi, for honoring a true son of the soil.

“Kabiyesi, your wisdom in selecting Chief Salau Fatai Adesina as the Jagun of Ayeteland is commendable. You have chosen a man of proven character, a bridge-builder, and a sincere advocate for community development. We thank you for this royal recognition.”

Chief Opeyemi Tijani then offered fervent prayers for the continued growth and prosperity of Ayeteland under the new Jagun’s influence.

He further prayed for chief Salau’s good health, wisdom, and long life to enable him to discharge his new responsibilities effectively.
