OLOLADE TAKES MOBILISATION DRIVE TO OFIKI WARD MEETS APC SUPPORTERS, APM MEMBERS

Barely settling into his new role as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Manager for Ibarapa North, Hon. Shittu Liasu Ololade has taken the party’s grassroots mobilisation drive to Ofiki Ward, one of the largest wards in Ibarapa North Local Government Area, where he met with political stakeholders and supporters across several communities in a renewed push for unity, wider participation and stronger grassroots engagement.
The engagements, held at Kajola Village, Unit 15, and later at Gbangbagere, brought together representatives from several communities, including Oniilari, Abule Ede, Mobilu, Afunije, Elede Idifa, Alafia and Baada Unit 14, among others.
At Kajola, Ololade met with members who were already gathered for their routine political meeting, using the opportunity to appreciate their commitment to the progressive political family and assess the prevailing political situation across the ward.
The meeting at Gbangbagere further provided a platform for broader consultations with grassroots representatives, with discussions centred on party unity, political participation, previous development programmes and the need for stronger cooperation among members of the progressive family.

A notable feature of the engagement was the interaction with members of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) who participated in the meetings.
The APM members were welcomed during the consultations, while discussions were held on their planned movement into the All Progressives Congress (APC). A date is expected to be agreed upon for a formal reception and gathering to welcome them into the APC.
The development adds another dimension to Ololade’s ongoing grassroots consultations, coming as political stakeholders continue to engage communities ahead of future political activities.
During the meetings, some supporters expressed their continued support for Ololade, with participants highlighting infrastructural projects they associated with his previous political engagements, particularly road construction, pipe-borne water projects and healthcare infrastructure.
Some participants reportedly told Ololade that their support for him was based on what they described as his developmental contributions to their communities, saying they would remain supportive of him regardless of the political platform on which he operates.
The comments formed part of the broader discussions on the relationship between political leadership, grassroots development and the expectations of communities.
Ololade also used the meetings to emphasise the importance of unity among members of the progressive political family.
He urged stakeholders and supporters to put aside differences, work together and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation, stressing the importance of presenting a united front in pursuing the interests of the people.
The consultations also brought together supporters of different political tendencies within the progressive camp, including supporters of Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, and Hon. Olaoniye Sharafadeen, popularly known as Bibire
The presence of the various political blocs provided an opportunity for dialogue and interaction across different support groups.
The Ofiki Ward visit forms part of Ololade’s continuing grassroots engagement across Ibarapa North. His current role as APC Campaign Manager for Ibarapa North has also placed him at the centre of the party’s mobilisation and engagement activities in the local government.
Among the political leaders and stakeholders who attended the gathering were Hon. Shittu Liasu Ololade, former Councillor Hon. Ruben, and the Ofiki Ward Chairman, Mr. Okedokun Wahab, alongside former federal legislator Hon. Ojegoke, community representatives, party leaders and grassroots supporters.
