GTMIKE SEEKS AYETE ELDERS’ BLESSINGS, PLEDGES PEOPLE-CENTRED REPRESENTATION FOR IBARAPA CENTRAL/NORTH

Gabriel Timileyin Micheal, popularly known as GTMIKE, the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate for the Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, grassroots development, and people-centred representation during a consultation visit to revered Senate dignitaries and prominent stakeholders in Ayete land.
The visit, which took place on Thursday 15th October 2026, was undertaken alongside party leaders and other political stakeholders as part of efforts to formally present his candidature, seek the counsel of respected community leaders, and strengthen relationships with influential stakeholders whose contributions remain vital to the peace, unity, and development of the constituency.
The delegation included Apostle Gbemileke Akintola Micheal, ZLP Chairman in Ibarapa North; Mr Sunday Adedokun, ZLP Coordinator in Tapa; and Mr Temidayo Alabi, ZLP Youth Coordinator.
Among the prominent Ayete Senate dignitaries and community stakeholders in attendance were Hon. Ololade; Baba Ayanleke, President of the Ayete Senate; Hon. Aborode; Hon. Ojegoke, a former member of the House of Representatives for Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency; Mr Folorunsho, Secretary of the APU; and Elder Chief Prince Opeagbe, alongside other distinguished personalities.
GTMIKE and his entourage were warmly received by the dignitaries, who offered fatherly advice, words of encouragement, and prayers for the success of his political ambition.
The reception provided an opportunity for meaningful engagement between the candidate, party leaders, and respected community figures on the importance of purposeful leadership, consultation, and collective responsibility in advancing the interests of the people.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and invaluable counsel, GTMIKE described the engagement as a reminder that effective leadership must be built on humility, respect for elders, consultation, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.
He noted that the prayers and encouragement received had further strengthened his resolve to pursue his political ambition with sincerity, courage, and an unwavering commitment to the collective aspirations of the people of Ibarapa Central and North.
The ZLP candidate emphasised that his ambition extends beyond personal political aspirations, describing the journey as a collective effort to build a constituency where every community matters and the voices of the people are adequately represented.
He called on constituents across Ibarapa Central and North to embrace unity and join hands in building a future that prioritises the needs and aspirations of the people above individual interests.
According to him, his vision centres on purposeful representation, inclusive governance, youth empowerment, educational support, improved opportunities for traders and farmers, and a stronger commitment to the welfare of constituents.
GTMIKE maintained that public office should serve as a platform for service and development rather than self-interest, stressing the need for elected representatives to bridge the gap between the people and opportunities for meaningful progress.
Reiterating his governing philosophy, GTMIKE stressed that the people must remain at the centre of decision-making, insisting that meaningful representation should not end with election campaigns but must continue through regular engagement, accountability, and responsive leadership.
He maintained that the expectations of the electorate must translate into practical policies and initiatives capable of improving livelihoods and addressing the developmental needs of communities across the constituency.
He further acknowledged that achieving the desired transformation would require unity, faith, sacrifice, and the collective support of well-meaning sons and daughters of Ibarapa Central and North.
The ZLP candidate urged residents of the constituency to look beyond individual and political differences and embrace a shared vision for sustainable development.
He expressed optimism that collective commitment and purposeful leadership could create lasting opportunities for the present generation while laying a solid foundation for generations to come.
GTMIKE concluded by describing his political ambition as a journey of service, hope, and collective responsibility, expressing confidence that the support of the people would help translate shared aspirations into meaningful results.
