APC CONVENTION: OLOLADE APPLAUDS NEW NATIONAL LEADERSHIP, EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE IN 2027 VICTORY

Hon. Shittu Liasu Ololade has commended the emergence of the new national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a merit-based selection that will reposition the party for greater achievements ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking with journalists at the convention venue in Eagle Square, Abuja, Ololade congratulated the newly elected National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, Deputy National Chairman, Benjamin Obi Nwoye, and National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Bashiru, alongside other members of the National Working Committee.

He described the event as both historic and remarkable, noting that the convention marks the 12th National Convention of the APC and reflects the party’s strength and unity across all levels of governance.

“Today is not only historic but also a remarkable moment for APC leaders and members both at home and in the diaspora. The party has demonstrated its capacity to unite stakeholders from the federal, state, and local levels,” he stated.

Ololade emphasized that the emergence of the new executives was based on merit, expressing confidence in their ability to lead the party to success in the coming elections.

He further declared that the APC remains fully prepared for the 2027 general elections, with a clear goal of consolidating its achievements and securing victories across all levels of government.

Reaffirming his support for the current administration, Ololade stated that the party is committed to the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that continuity would ensure sustained national development.

He particularly described Prof. Yilwatda as a capable leader with the vision and experience to steer the party toward victory, adding that the new National Chairman would work collaboratively with other executives to move the APC to greater heights.
