OLOLADE SECURES ROYAL BLESSINGS, DECLARES 2027 REPS AMBITION IN IGANGAN

Hon. Shittu Liasu Ololade (JP), a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, has received royal blessings from the Oba of Ayete,his Royal Marjesty Oba Emmanuel Okeniyi Aremun Atilade Borisabunmi 1 and traditional chiefs as he intensifies consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The APC stalwart paid a courtesy visit to the palace on March 22, 2026, where he formally informed the monarch of his ambition and sought royal prayers and support. The traditional ruler and council of chiefs warmly received him, offering prayers for his success and pledging their support.

Following the palace visit, Hon. Ololade proceeded to Igangan, where he attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward general meeting held at AUD 2 Primary School. Prior to the meeting, he also visited a respected party leader in the town, Mr. Ayegboyin (Snr), as part of his consultation efforts.

Addressing party members at the gathering, Hon. Ololade stated that his visit to Igangan was twofold: to celebrate with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and to formally declare his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat.

“I am here to rejoice with you on the Eid celebration and also to make my ambition known to party members and leaders in Igangan. I seek your support as I aspire to represent our constituency,” he said.

He acknowledged the presence of other aspirants but expressed confidence in his capacity, noting that he is well-qualified to deliver beyond expectations if given the mandate.

Hon. Ololade also commended party members in Igangan for their consistency and unity in holding regular ward meetings, describing it as a sign of strong party structure and commitment.

In his remarks, the APC Chairman in Igangan, Prince Oyinloye Afeez (popularly known as Aribiyan), welcomed Hon. Ololade and his supporters, appreciating his engagement with grassroots party members.

A prominent party Leaders Hon.Sola Makinde at the meeting also praised Hon. Ololade’s integrity and sportsmanship, noting his respectful conduct among fellow aspirants in the political space.

As part of his support to the local party structure, Hon. Ololade donated the sum of ₦500,000 towards five ward units in Igangan.
