Ibarapa Youths Steal the Show as Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation Hosts 7th Annual Sports Extravaganza

The Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation has once again demonstrated its unwavering dedication to youth empowerment with the successful conclusion of its 7th Annual Sports Competition, a transformative initiative that continues to shape young lives across Ibarapa land.
The highly anticipated event brought together enthusiastic participants in a celebration of athleticism, intellect, and community spirit. Featuring an exciting array of physical competitions alongside traditional mind games such as draughts and Ayo Olópón, the competition provided a holistic development platform that sharpened both body and mind while fostering camaraderie among participants.
The marathon events witnessed exceptional displays of endurance and determination. In the men’s category, Ayorinde Timothy powered his way to victory, clocking an impressive 1 hour 36 minutes. Hot on his heels was Ayorinde John, who secured second place with a time of 1 hour 39 minutes, while Azeez Abbas claimed the bronze position at 1 hour 42 minutes.
The female’s race was equally thrilling, with Adepoju Ruth emerging triumphant after completing the challenging course in 2 hours 02 minutes. The battle for the remaining podium spots saw Makinde Muthumoinat and Makinde Mukinat claiming second and third places with closely contested times of 2 hours 06 minutes 08 seconds and 2 hours 06 minutes 51 seconds respectively.
The football competition reached a crescendo with FC AMBASSADOR lifting the coveted championship trophy after a nail-biting final against UNIQUE FC. The match showcased skill, strategy, and sportsmanship at its finest. SUPER STAR FC proved their mettle by finishing as second runner-up, capping off a tournament filled with memorable moments.
In a ceremony that celebrated achievement and potential, the Foundation distributed generous cash prizes, gleaming trophies, medals, and additional support packages to deserving winners and participants. These rewards represent more than recognition, they are investments in the continued growth and development of young talents across the region.
