Okanlawon Commends Igboora’s Unity, Heritage at 2025 World Twins Festival
Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon, Chairman of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), has extended his felicitations to the Olu of Igboora, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye, and the people of Igboora as the town celebrates the 2025 World Twins Festival. Okanlawon commended the community’s enduring unity, cultural pride, and global recognition as the Home of Twins, describing the festival as a symbol of harmony, heritage, and shared identity.
In a congratulatory message delivered through his Media Aide, Sunday Adedokun Harshasha, the Chairman of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF) and Executive Director of Luli Construction Company extended heartfelt felicitations to the Olu of Igboora, His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye Asoroolu Ayinla V, and the people of Igboora on the occasion of the globally celebrated festival.
Okanlawon described the World Twins Festival as more than an annual cultural showcase, described as a cultural emblem to the community’s resilience, unity, and unique identity as the renowned Home of Twins.
“Igboora stands as a cultural symbol, a place where nature, heritage, and joy meet in harmony. The Twins Festival not only celebrates life’s miracle but also projects Ibarapa’s name proudly across the globe,” he said.
He lauded the vision and consistency of the festival’s organizers, noting that the event has continued to grow into a powerful symbol of unity and tourism in Oyo State.
“This celebration reaffirms that culture remains one of our strongest tools for development. I commend the Olu of Igboora, the organizing committee, and every son and daughter of the town for sustaining this noble tradition,” Okanlawon added.
The philanthropist and political leader, who contested as the House of Representatives candidate for Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency in the last general election, reiterated his commitment to championing initiatives that strengthen Ibarapa’s cultural and economic relevance.
As the festival holds today, October 11, the world once again turns its gaze to Igboora, a town whose extraordinary twin birth rate has earned it the distinguished title of the Twin Capital of the World.
