IPU CELEBRATES IBARAPA LEGEND, CHIEF (DR) SAMUEL OJE MORAKINYO AT 90.DR

The Igboora Progress Union (IPU), has described the former Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy matters, Chief (Dr) Sunday Oje Morakinyo as a living legend whose milestone 90th birthday reflects unparallel service and dedication to Ibarapa, Oyo State and Nigeria.

In a birthday message signed the IPU media officer, Tayo Akinyemi, dated 8th January, 2026, the President, Igboora Progress Union (IPU), Pastor Alex Oladeji, JP, on behalf of Igboora Traditional Rulers, Interim Steering Council and the generality of IPU members, congratulates the legend whom they described as one of the founding pillars of IPU., as he celebrate his 90th birthday today, 8th February , 2026.

According to the release:

“This milestone birthday is a testament to the gift of life and the impact one man can have on his community.

“As a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo State, Chief Dr. Morakinyo has left an indelible mark on the socio-political landscape of our great state. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the Ibarapa leadership forum, and his contributions to the development of our community cannot be overstated.

“The IPU is proud to count Chief Dr. Morakinyo among its own. His dedication to the ideals of our organization and his unwavering commitment to the progress of our people have been a source of inspiration to us all.
