IGBOORA PROGRESS UNION INTERIM STEERING COUNCIL ASSIGNS PORTFOLIOS, VOWS TO ADDRESS SECURITY AND POWER FAILURES

The Igboora Progress Union (IPU) Interim Steering Council held its maiden meeting on Saturday, January 10, 2026 and assigned portfolios to members of the council.

In a release signed by the IPU media officer, Tayo Akinyemi, dated 11th January, 2026, the IPU President, Pastor Alex Oladeji, announced the distribution of portfolios to members of the council.

The following members were assigned to key positions:

– President: Pastor Alex Oladeji

– Vice-President 1: Rev. Sanya Akinlade

– Vice-President 2: V. Rev. Samson Olanipekun

– Vice-President 3 & Treasury: Alhaji Moshood Salami

– General Secretary: Dr. Olajide T. Olaopa

– Assistant General Secretary & IT Director: Dr. Akeem Owoade

– Social & Welfare Officer: Alhaja Segilola Badmos

– Coordinator (Women Affairs): Alhaja Muinat Oguntowo

– Coordinator (Diaspora Affairs): Chief Idowu Akinleye

– Coordinator (Associations, Clubs & other IPU branches): Prince Goke Adenrele

– Coordinator (Youth Affairs): Dr. Bolu Oke

– Media Officer: Prince Tayo Akinyemi

  • – Legal Officer: Barr. Sesan Odunaye.

According to the release, the council x-rayed the damages Insecurity and power failure continues sabotaging industrial development of the community, and set plans towards addressing the menace.

Nominations was equally made for members of Board of Trustees and Constitution review committee.
