ARO DESCENDANTS HOLD CONGRESS; INAUGURATE EXECUTIVES

The Aro Descendants of Idofin, in Ibarapa Central Local Government area of Oyo State, held their annual congress on Tuesday, 27th February, 2026, at the Aro Descendant Hall, Idofin. The event featured the official inauguration of new executives and delegates for another four-year term, performed by the Olofin of Idofin, Chief Idowu Akinleye.

Speaking at the congress, Chief Akinleye admonished members of the Aro Descendants to embrace love, peace, and unity for the development of the Idofin Community. He charged members to cooperate with and support the new executives in their leadership assignments.

While administering the oath of office, Chief Akinleye urged the executives to be committed to their roles with sincerity and mindful of the trust reposed in them by the Aro Descendants.

The newly inaugurated executives include:
– Hon. Ibrahim Ogunjimi (Aro Opanike) – Chairman
– Mr. Abiodun Okunlola (Aro Majaro) – Vice Chairman
– Mr. Tosin Adeseun (Aro Idowu) – Secretary
– Mr. Mutiu Oseni (Aro Ogunleti) – Treasurer

Delegates:
– Mr. Muyiwa Ojo
– Mr. Emmanuel Ige
– Mr. Oluyemi Olaide
– Mrs. Akinlabi Aishiat
– Mr. Samuel Salako
– Mr. Yekini Jamiu
– Mr. Onikola Jelili
– Mr. Adeyemi Quadri

The former Chairman, Mr. Ifeoluwa Okeleye, formally handed over to the new Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Ogunjimi.
