IGBOORA LOSES A PILLAR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, DR. AMOS ADEPOJU AT 89….. Ibarapa Central Boss, Sola Adeleke.

The Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon. Olusola Adeleke has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Amos Adepoju, the Asiwaju of Igboora and father of the Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju.

Dr. Amos Adepoju, a highly revered community leader and passionate advocate of human capital development breathed his last on Thursday, 28th August 2025 at the ripe age of 89.

In a statement made available to Asako news, the local government Boss described the death as ‘end of an era’ for Igboora and the entire Ibarapa land describing him as a shining example of dedication, service and humility.

Hon. Sola Adeleke described the late icon as “a legend who carried the burdens of his people with grace and commitment; serving Igboora selflessly from his youthful days until his final breath.

“The invaluable contributions of Dr. Adepoju to community growth, youth development and peaceful coexistence will remain indelible in the hearts of all.

“I commiserate with Hon. Anthony Adepoju and the entire Adepoju family while I prayed for the repose of the departed soul and urged the family to take solace in the impactful and fulfilled life he lived, leaving behind a rich legacy of service to humanity.

“On behalf of the government and people of Ibarapa Central Local Government, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Adepoju family, the people of Igboora and the entire Ibarapa land. May the Almighty grant the family the strength to bear this great loss and may Baba’s gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” Adeleke concluded.
