The Ibarapa APC Initiative has thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, citing his sterling performance since assuming office.

The endorsement was part of resolutions reached at a well-attended strategic meeting of the group held on Thursday, May 1 in Igbo-Ora, the headquarters of Ibarapa Central Local Government.

In a copy of the communique issued at the end of the meeting made available to Asako news, the group stated that “one good term deserves another,” commending President Tinubu’s achievements in economic reforms, infrastructure development, and national cohesion.

The group described his leadership as a beacon of hope that should be sustained beyond 2027.

The meeting also called for unity among party members in Ibarapa and across the state as the All Progressives Congress (APC) begins early preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The leaders stressed the need to remain focused and committed to the party’s ideals in order to secure electoral success.

Reaffirming their commitment to the “Ibarapa Agenda,” the group emphasised the importance of ensuring that the zone was not schemed out of political relevance in the comity of zones in Oyo State.

They pledged to work assiduously toward realising a fair and equitable representation for Ibarapa in future political arrangements.

The group equally declared its support for the Abas-led APC in Oyo State, urging all members to align with the structure for peace and progress within the party.
