Hopecrest, Royal Diadem, and Baptist Model Claim Top Spots at OOF Mathematics Competition

The Second Edition of the Olusegun Okanlawon Mathematics Competition (OOMC) brought out the best in Ibarapa’s senior secondary students on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora.

Hopecrest College, Igboora, continued its academic dominance as Alawode Emioluwa emerged the overall winner. Olojede Promise of Royal Diadem College, Igangan, secured second place, while Olagoke Gbolahan of Baptist Model High School, Eruwa, finished third. The top two positions were once again captured by Hopecrest and Royal Diadem, mirroring the results from the inaugural edition.

A total of 37 schools participated in the competition, with students accompanied by teachers to ensure smooth conduct and discipline. Cash prizes of ₦150,000, ₦100,000, and ₦50,000 will be awarded to the first, second, and third-place winners, respectively, at the Foundation’s year-end grand finale.

The Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation praised the orderly conduct and strong turnout, reiterating its commitment to fostering academic excellence, nurturing young talent, and promoting a culture of competition in Mathematics and STEM across the Ibarapa zone.
