ELECTRICITY BLACKOUT IN IGBO-ORA NEEDS POLITICAL SOLUTIONS……ALHAJI OKUNADE

A retired permanent secretary and eminent leader in Ibarapa Central Local Government, Alhaji Hassan Okunade has called on political office holders in the local government join hands and find a lasting solution to the total blackout as result of epileptic supply of electricity in the area since more than two years.

Alhaji Okunade in a statement made available to Asako news, lamented the individual and traditional ruler’s efforts in getting the problem solved, but due to what he described as the “polical dimention(s)” introduced by few individuals had worsened the situation.

According to him:

“The complete eclipse of the World Twins Capital, IGBO-ORA with darkness needs a joint solution.For almost six months now,my root had been thrown into total darkness crippling the economic and social activities of the populace.

“Efforts were earlier made by some individuals to resolve this issue but the polical dimention(s) introduced by few individuals had worsened the situation.

“It should be noted that our Royal fathers made several attempts to resolve this challenge by booking appointment/ holding meetings with the Minister of Power, Mr.Adebayo Adelabu in Ibadan few months ago without any positive results.

“Our House of Representative member, Hon.Adebayo Adepoju (a.k.a Ibarapa kan),the Hon.Commissioner for Local Government, Hon.Demola Obafemi Ojo and the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government, Hon.Sola Adeleke should urgently come together to bail the Community out of this electricity challenge.

Your joint efforts will significantly rekindle the already collapsed economic and social activities of my cherished root .
