DR. AMOS ADEPOJU IS DEAD.

Dr. Amos Adepoju, the Asiwaju of Igboora is reported dead.

The highly refered community leader and human capital developer according to the family died earlier today 28th August, 2025 at the ripe age of 89 years

The legend served Igboora Community graciously since his early days till his demise earlier today, 28th August, 2025.

History can not erase so soon the positive contributions of Dr. Amos Adepoju in every of the developmental stories of Igboora as far back as 1950s. He was an impactful member of the Igboora Literary and Progressive Union, which later metamorphosised to Igboora Progressive Union (I.P.U). This umbrella body gave birth to several developmental projects in Igboora ranging from Igboora High school, Igboora Town Hall, Post Office, Technical College now OYSCATECH etc.

Late Dr. Amos Adepoju’s service in the capacity as a former Rector of the Polytechnic, Ibadan and former National Commissioner for Interior respectively is highly commendable. Many of our indigenes are now senior officers in Civil Defense, Immigration and Prisons service.

There is this simple question about life and times of late Dr. Amos Adepoju: ” What have you contributed to your Community that can make people celebrate you after your demise?Have you ever contributed to your Community both in and after meritorious service?”.

Dr. Amos Adepoju is survived by wife and children. Amongst is the current honourable representing Ibarapa Central and North federal constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Bayo Adepoju.
