The Chairman of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation and Executive Director of Luli Construction Company, Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Prof. Adeolu Akande and his family on the passing of their patriarch, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande. He died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 90.
In a condolence statement released to the press today, Ambassador Okanlawon described the late Pa Akande as a devoted father, a community leader, and a man of great character.
“We received the news of Pa Amos Akande’s passing with great sadness. On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire workforce of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation and Luli Construction Company, I offer our deepest sympathies to Prof. Adeolu Akande and his entire family,” he said.
Ambassador Okanlawon noted that while the loss of a loved one is a difficult experience, the family should be consoled by the fact that Pa Akande lived a long and impactful life, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and service to his community. “His contributions and the values he instilled in his children, particularly in a distinguished son like Prof. Adeolu Akande, will continue to resonate for generations to come,” he added.
The foundation Chairman prayed for God to grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss and for the soul of the departed to find eternal rest.
The news of Pa Akande’s death was first shared by Prof. Adeolu Akande on his Facebook page. “With total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passage of my father, our patriarch, grandfather, and community leader, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
