ADDRESSING SECURITY / ELECTRICITY CHALLENGES IN IBARAPA LAND, A CALL FOR ACTION…………Aderogba Taiwo 

The recent discussion on Comic and Realities by Adetona Circular Adeboye which highlighted the pressing issues affecting the community, particularly the electricity / security challenges. It is disheartening to see the political class more focused on personal gain than serving the people’s interests. The people of Ibarapa are living in fear due to security challenges, with many unable to sleep at night. It is disheartening to see the political class seemingly disconnected from the struggles of the common man.

The ordinary man suffers while the political class exploits the system for personal benefit. The lack of progress on electricity projects is a significant concern, and it’s essential to hold leaders accountable for their promises.

Hon. Adebayo Adepoju member of the House of Representatives, has shown exceptional performance in the past two years. Members of the IBARAPA YOUTH PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT (IYPM) also wishes to express their happiness to the Honourable for job facilitation so far . We also wish you the very best as you move towards the 3rd quarter of your reign. We also wish to express our disappointment on the Power project which has been abandoned for almost three years now . However, there’s a need for more action on the electricity issue, the probe has put the projects on hold as no contractor has resumed a full blown site Operation. The community awaits tangible results and progress on this matter.

While probing electricity projects may have its challenges, it’s crucial to address the underlying issues. The community needs electricity, not political games. It’s time for leaders to prioritize the people’s interests and work towards tangible solutions.

The Office of the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin has been alerted to infrastructure deficits and security challenges, but tangible actions are awaited. The community demands more than just words; they need concrete steps to address these issues.

The Local Government Chairmen in Ibarapa Central and North Hon. Adeleke Ayodele Olusola , Hon Lateef Akorede are urged to take proactive measures to tackle the security challenges, particularly the nighttime attacks. The community needs protection and support, not just rhetorics .

The Amotekun security outfit, birthed from the cry for state police, seems to be looking elsewhere instead of protecting citizens. The community questions whether citizens will resort to self-help or jungle justice if the situation persists.

MESSAGE OF HOPE
Despite the challenges, there’s hope for Ibarapa Land. With courageous individuals like Uncle Akinyemi Akinlabi , Hon. SAUBANA AJIBOLA MURAINA , My Boss ; Tokunbo Adewale Toriola , Egbon mi atata Prince Akinyemi Akintayo and others working towards libration of youth and progress of Ibarapa Land. We call on everyone in the community to come together to demand change and push for development.

The people of Ibarapa demand change and proactive measures to address security challenges. They seek protection, support, and tangible actions from OUR LEADERS, rather than empty promises or political games.
